The Battlegrounds, St. Louis’ largest permanent obstacle course, recently added a new eight-week pre-race training program to prepare athletes for its upcoming eighth bi-annual race on Sat., May 21.
Kick-off training dates are Saturdays, March 12 and March 19 for $25 each. The eight-week package, which costs $150 total or $25 per class, consecutively runs from Sat., March 26 through Sat., May 14 at three locations: The Battlegrounds, located at 11008 Schreckengast Rd. in Wright City, Mo.; KōR Komplex’s Ninja Warrior training facility, an indoor obstacle course located at 546 First Capitol Dr. in St. Charles, Mo., and; Creve Coeur Park, located at 13725 Marine.
The program is an all-inclusive experience designed to give insight and information on how to conquer The Battlegrounds. Classes at The Battlegrounds’ course will show participants proper techniques for specific obstacles such as the rope climb, cargo net climb, and warped wall. Classes at KōR Komplex will teach advanced skills to make actual race obstacles easier to handle. The Creve Coeur Park boot camps will build overall fitness to ensure the best performance on the actual race day.
