Hello!! Reddit sent me here. I enjoy your videos, keep em coming. Would love some advice on the tarzan swing at the killington spartan. That one gets me every time. I can make the first couple swings but after that im in the water.
Ah! I haven’t gotten a request for that one yet. I won’t be able to get one up in time, but here is the basic for it.
You’re going to be coming out of the water, and it’s going to suck. Grab the first rope with both hands and swing off the ladder. Right before you hit the apex of that swing, reach out and grab the next rope. With your back hand, pull back to get some backwards swing, so you have momentum going forward. Then transfer that hand to the same rope as the other for a short moment, and shoot it out to the next rope, just as before… right before the apex.
You want to have the least amount of time with only one hand gripping, unless you have trained for a lot of grip strength specifically.
I hope this all makes sense, but I will definitely get a video made for this obstacle!
