Fuego y Agua Events has partnered with us at Mud Run Guide to provide pre- and post-race interviews with athletes and race directors, live updates, and on-course insight from Rachelanne Gladden. Gladden is well known in the extreme endurance community and brings with her years of working with and volunteering at races like Peak Races – Death Race, past Fuego y Agua Events, and SISU Iron, making her a natural fit as our on-site reporter. She is a well respected member of the obstacle racing community and we are proud to have her on our team during the event following all the action of this year's Survival Run race.
This year's Fuego y Agua Survival Run will take place in Playa Santo Domingo on the Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua on February 4, 2015. The event is due to begin at 4:00pm on the 4th, and participants will cover over 80km and a variety of unknown challenges. Survival Run is part obstacle race, part adventure race, and part ultra marathon making it like no other event in the world. Survival Run is notorious as one of the hardest endurance challenges in the world. In the past two years Fuego y Agua Survival Run has only seen 4 official finishers. These 4 men have been the only ones to complete all challenges and meet time cutoffs along the way. This year a new batch of athletes, and many returning, are ready to take on the challenge and new finishers may join this elite group.
Rachelanne Gladden will be there to cover all the action for us and share a little of the island culture along the way. Mud Run Guide will provide extensive coverage of this event on social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. A live tracking tool, for aggregating the latest news and updates across all channels for convenient and timely updates. Fuego y Agua Events and Mud Run Guide are also encouraging the use of the official hashtag, #FYA2015, for all photos & updates from the event.
“All of us at Mud Run Guide are excited for the opportunity to work with one of the premier extreme endurance events in the world, Fuego y Agua Events. We are excited to share this unique and exciting event with the OCR Community.”
