Heat acclimatization can be achieved with 60-90 minutes of exercise a day in hot conditions, doing so for 1-2 weeks. Those who are less fit or those more susceptible to heat-related problems may require more days or weeks to fully acclimatize.
The virtual race consists of running and completing the equivalent distance and obstacles in one of Spartan’s four signature obstacle course races, including the 5k, 20-obstacle Spartan Sprint; 10k, 25-obstacle Spartan Super; half-marathon, 30-obstacle Spartan Beast; and 50k, 60-obstacle Spartan Ultra.
Jacques (AKA SuperStompie) was born without his lower left forearm, but he has not let that stop him from competing in Spartan Races. His Spartan journey began in 2018 when he signed up for the Kings Kloof Super.
Playout definitely proved to be an innovative workout tool that is easily accessible to anyone currently staying at home, and also, I believe, will transfer well when we are able to get back to the gyms, schools, and playgrounds. I loved that the only equipment needed was a pull-up bar (there is no equipment needed in the original fitness pack) and that I was able to get a full-body workout that was fun, challenging, and extremely unique.
