I have a pretty great OCR "framily" that I run with and hang out with before and after a race and we always have fun. But I also have a really amazing FAMILY and I've always wanted to share my love of OCR with them. I am the proud mom of 16-year-old twin sons and they each have done one Spartan Stadium Sprint with me but the three of us had never been at one together.
It all started over 6 years ago at a free kickboxing class. There was a woman in there who mentioned she was doing a race in two weeks and asked me if I wanted to do it with her. She said it was a Spartan Sprint and since I’m up for anything I figured why not. I signed up..did the race and just like the tagline says...I KNEW AT THE FINISH LINE! I was hooked.
A few months ago a company called Dry Rub contacted me on Instagram and told me about a new product they had. They told me that it was a car seat cover designed to prevent sweat, stains, and odors after a workout or a race. I was intrigued...
A race that gave me a new “why” and that was the Jar of Hope 2nd. Annual Fitness Challenge and 5k. This would be an opportunity to run for charity while honoring a very special little boy and a very special friend of mine.
